Duskborn

When the sun sets over Westholde, few dare venture beyond the safety of the walls. It is said that the old keeps and forgotten manors belong to the Duskborn, an ancient people who have long abandoned the warmth of daylight for the silence of the night.

Once, they ruled great halls and commanded noble courts. Time, tragedy and a terrible curse have twisted them into pale shadows of their former selves. Though their appearance inspires fear, the Duskborn still cling to the traditions of their fallen kingdoms, gathering in secluded Covenants beneath crumbling castles and moonlit ruins.

To the people of Westholde they are monsters. To themselves, they are the rightful heirs of a world that has long forgotten them.

Whether the Duskborn seek vengeance, redemption, or simply the survival of their dwindling kind, none can truly say. But as darkness falls, their ancient banners are once again carried into battle, and the night remembers what the living have tried to forget.
