Moonfang Elves

The oldest forests of Westholde belong to no king.

Beneath towering pines and beneath the silver light of the moon dwell the Moonfang Clans, an ancient people whose lives have always been bound to the wilderness. They raise no castles, build no cities and claim no throne. Instead, every grove, mountain pass and forgotten glade is considered sacred ground, protected with unwavering resolve.

The Moonfang believe that all living things share the same breath of the wild. Great wolves hunt beside them, towering beasts answer their call, and their shamans speak with spirits as old as the forests themselves. Among their greatest warriors are those blessed or cursed with the gift of the Moonfang, becoming fearsome werewolves beneath the pale light of the full moon.

To the people of Westholde they are elusive hunters, appearing only as silent figures between the trees before vanishing once more into the wilderness. Yet the Moonfang remember a time before the Duchy, before its roads and stone walls carved through the ancient woods. Every tree felled, every ruin unearthed and every sacred grove disturbed is another wound upon a land they have sworn to protect.

Though slow to anger, the Clans are relentless once roused. Their arrows strike from unseen shadows, wolves descend without warning, and when the moon rises over the battlefield, few can withstand the fury of the Moonfang.
